Vehicle history reports are digital products delivered instantly. When you purchase a report, generation begins immediately and the completed report is delivered to your account and email as soon as it's ready. Because of this instant delivery, purchases are final once a report has been successfully generated, except in the specific cases below.
When a Refund Is Available
We will issue a full refund if, and only if, one of the following applies:
- The report could not be generated. If the VIN cannot be decoded or a report fails to generate due to a fault on our end, you will not be charged, or will be refunded in full if you were charged.
- A technical error on our end prevented delivery. If a system error stops you from receiving or accessing a report you paid for, and we are unable to resolve it promptly, we will refund the charge.
- You were charged more than once for the same report. Verified duplicate charges for the same VIN and report type are refunded in full.
- A billing error occurred on our end — for example, an incorrect amount was charged due to a checkout or coupon malfunction.
What Is Not Eligible for a Refund
- A report that was successfully generated and delivered, even if you no longer need it.
- An incorrect VIN entered by you at checkout — please double-check your VIN before purchasing, for example with our free VIN decoder.
- Dissatisfaction with the contents of an accurate report. We report what our data sources show; we do not guarantee a particular outcome or that a report will contain information you were hoping to find (or not find).
- Change of mind after purchase.
How to Request a Refund
If your situation matches one of the eligible cases above, email payments@vintrareports.us (or use our Contact page) within 7 days of your purchase with your order number and a description of the issue. We review every request individually and reply by email with the outcome. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Questions
If you're unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — we can usually resolve genuine issues directly, and faster than a bank dispute.
